Returns Policy


Had a change of heart or it’s just not right?! That’s ok, it happens from time to time! Please email within 10 days of receiving your item to have your return request approved for either an exchange or credit note. Unfortunately we do not offer refunds for change of mind, wrong decision or incorrect size.

Please also ensure your items are returned new, unused and with all tags still attached. Returned items that have been worn, washed, damaged or altered from their original state (i.e. tags removed, stains, perfume scents) will not be accepted, and will be returned to the customer.

If you would like to exchange your item, an extra charge of $10 is required for shipping. You will only be charged should we have the available size/item for your exchange. Upon emailing for the approval for your return you are required to fill out the returns form included in your parcel. Our e-boutique office hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm WST and your email will be answered as fast as possible. Please allow up to 7 days after delivery for your return to be processed.

Please take care when sending items back to us, as items lost in the post are your responsibility and we cannot offer exchanges or credit notes on lost parcels.

Please note the following:  

Extra shipping and handling charges to return the item will remain the responsibility of the sender.

A $10 payment is required for exchanges to cover the cost of postage back to you.

Credit notes for sale items are valid for a total of three months.

By Nicola monitors returns to identify potential abuse or misuse of our return policies.  Continued returns will be flagged and potentially refused at our discretion, or lead to the closure of your By Nicola account.


We aim to inspect each of our items before sending them out to you. If you receive an item that you believe has a manufacturing fault, please contact us at and we will try and resolve the problem as fast as possible.

Please note that refunds for faulty items will only be processed once the items have been returned back to us and assessed.

All orders received by 12pm WST will be dispatched the same day with orders after that time being sent the following day. All orders received on Saturday, Sunday or on a Public Holiday will be processed the following business day. Australia (and New Zealand) Orders: We use Startrack to provide express shipping to our Australian customers.  Shipping is $10 or free when you spend over $150. Once you receive a dispatch notification your parcel should arrive within 1-2 business days (2-5 for NZ orders)
Once your parcels have left our warehouse they are in the property of Startrack. We give the authority to leave the parcel at your door, and is legally not responsible for lost or damaged goods. We are also not responsible for items delivered to an incorrect address so please ensure all information is correct.

International Orders: We offer standard shipping on all international orders for AU$20. New Zealand orders will take up to 2-3 days to receive. All other countries can take approximately 5-20 business days.

Express Shipping Internationally
We also offer express shipping with DHL for AU$40. This will take approximately 3-5 working days depending on your location. Once your parcel has left our warehouse it is the property of Australia Post or DHL. We are not legally responsible for lost or damaged goods.  We are also not responsible for items delivered to an incorrect address so please ensure all information is correct. All prices on the By Nicola online store are quoted in Australian Dollars and international customs charges and taxes are payable by the receiver. By Nicola are not responsible for any additional charges incurred for shipping orders internationally. For more information on customs charges for each country please contact your customs authority.

Australian orders: You will receive an email with a tracking number after your goods have been

dispatched and received by Startrack. You can then track your parcel with this number at Please note your order can take up to a few hours to become available for tracking.

International orders: Australia Post (standard) will only update the tracking status as it leaves Perth and then again when it reaches your nearest post office (generally the day it is delivered to you), therefore if the only entry says Perth, that means it is in transit to you.
